Graffica leads the way in the development of future Airspace Management coordination systems.
European airspace is fragmented and highly complex – in part because of the continent’s political boundaries, very high aircraft traffic flows, and conflicting needs of civil and military airspace users.
Graffica is leading the design and support to the conceptual evolution of the next generation of airspace management sytems to support the Flexible Use of Airspace (FUA) and the development of an operational implementation. Information provided by these systems will enable improved planning of air traffic flows and significantly reduce fuel consumption, delays and controller workload.
Graffica is instrumental in the drive to manage airspace more efficiently by supporting the Single European Sky programme and supporting the implementation of Functional Airspace Blocks (FAB). These programmes have necessitated the definition and evolution of enhanced civil-military airspace coordination tools developed by Graffica.
